about

Hot on the heels of his Wamono vinyl LP, Jules bursts back with this impressionistic collection of oriental, surrealistic jazzy grooves inspired by the progression from deep winter into a lush green spring then through the stifling rainy season, culminating in the frenzied heat of Kyoto’s Gion Festival. One constant through all this is the egrets and herons which hang and glide along the Kamogawa river, representing both day and night ( 'the ghostly whites that fly by night ')- elegance, purity and longevity, yet also greed; being gregarious, the visceral. Balance is the key. A wide palette of moods and grooves, both cerebral and danceable. Explore theses strata melded as a musical realm-a colourful dimension known named here as 'Egretia'.
