some words & 'sleeve notes':

This composition was inspired by spirits of many kinds that swirl around Kyoto-natural, cosmic, and the love-related. It takes on board both positive and negative ju-ju. Flowers are mainly wonderful but they can also be deadly.

Sleep paralysis and half-dream states also form part of the adventure, as does excitement and magical coincidence in nature/ the world.

It began in autumn when Kyoto evenings were still warm and Osmanthus was in the air and was completed at the end of a social rollercoaster ride over the winter holidays (with a gap in between).

Moments that expand into escapades of the heart.
Temporal journeys of the mind.

The turning of a corner, the opening of an eye. Seasons crossover sweeping spirits out and ushering new ones in.

Stuffed people; walking conductors of a silent communication. Transmission. Radar games.

Up there, good & bad dissolve.
Down here flowers and voodoo weave witchcraft & lovecraft.

Shocked from sleep, pinned down & trapped in.
Slumber paralysed but cured at once by a miracle kiss where this journey begins….”
